Barrier Kerbstone
What is a Kerbstone?
Kerb stones are horizontal concrete or stone blocks designed to edge and separate sidewalks, driveways, and roads from adjacent landscaped or grassed areas. They act as a barrier, preventing vehicles and pedestrians from encroaching on green spaces while enhancing the visual appeal of the surrounding environment.
Kerb stones play a crucial role in road and highway infrastructure, assisting in traffic management, lane separation, and directing the flow of vehicles. They also facilitate a smooth transition from lower pavement to raised pavement, ensuring safety and accessibility for all users.
What is a Barrier Kerbstone?
A barrier kerbstone can be identified by its concave face, and as per the name, the function of this kerbstone is to ensure motorists do not enter a certain open space. No steel is used in this product, and the sheer weight of the kerb means it is not easy to manouver once on the ground.
Typically used at petrol stations, entrances that need to be blocked and next to high foot traffic areas near to highways.
AIM's barrier kerbstone is available in many different colours and will be provided in an anti-skid texture to allow paint to "stick" to the face when applied if purchased in Medium Gray colour.
